Youth Suicide Prevention Program

The Youth Suicide Prevention Program is a great idea for a website. All it was doing is trying stop youth suicide in a big way. The website was created because in 1992 a promising 16-year old student and athlete named Trevor Simpson died by suicide. Immediately after his death Trevor's parents, Scot and Leah Simpson, began advocating for resources and programs that could help prevent other young people from dying. Washington State funded them after all their efforts on trying to put a stop to youth suicide.
The Youth Suicide Prevention Program after all their accomplishments today tend to see that your suicide is becoming rarer than before. They stared to see if you the more young people are nurtured and supported about the problem that numbers go down on youth suicide. It also helps to prevent youth suicide by the families being aware of the risk factors of youth suicide. There are also many inner programs that go in the youth seduced prevention program. These programs help bring a group of people to the event so they can be aware of things that’s going on with youth suicides. One the most important jobs are the Youth Advisory Council. The Youth Advisory Council is made up of five dedicated teens and young adults have recently formed an advisory council that is helping the youth suicide prevent program spread the word about this troubling issue.

  1. The Youth Suicide Prevention Program is a great example of the state government getting involved in bettering the society. They understand the needs of these suicide victims and help by giving them the resources they need in order to recover. Most of all, this program helps educate others about the dangers and signs of youth suicide and the action people have to take in order to prevent even more casualties to suicide. These teens and young adults who are helping with the organization are great role models for other suicidal teens because they inspire others to take action in something that they feel so strongly about. In a media-obsessed world like today, it is easy for teens to get lost in all of the information and some might lose the ability to think for themselves. In this case, these teens stand up for what they believe is an important issue in society and they take action in preventing suicide by educating others about what they know.

  2. Like all of the other programs this one helps provide a help to those who are in need. Promising help to those who may not have the love and care of others. Also it was started due to a death of a loved teen. Sometimes it is just to hard for people to cope with problems and they take the easy way out. This program helps people understand that there are people who care and there are other alternatives to suicide. Programs such as yspp, have helped dwindle the number of suicides each and every year. They have been around for over 20 years now and are continuing to help others. This silent epidemic is going to stop one day, but it will take the lives of many and voices of others to stop it. We all are loved and special in our very own way. We just have to strive and find reasons to continue pushing forward and want to live even In the roughest of times.
