  1. 1439 teens a day, that’s the number that stayed in my mind throughout the video. That number was the amount of teens that committed suicide a day. That is a astonishing number, that is shocking and saddening. This shouldn’t be happening. Why are Gods children not loved, and why are people feeling so left out and unwanted? I just could not believe how things like this go by unnoticed, how do we continue to live our lives knowing things like this happen every day. Also the suicide rate in the ages 15 - 24 tripled in past 25 years. I feel sorry for those individuals, this must be stopped. Some of our generations smartest minds could have committed suicide. They could have had a cure for cancer, or even been our next president. People should not be so reckless with a life that only works once. Making a serious mistake of that caliber will have consequences that you will not be able to take back. Once you die, you are gone forever. People do not understand the intensity of suicide. People need to be more aware of what is happening.

  2. The number of teens who think of committing suicide is disturbing. Also, the fact that a suicide occurs every 40 seconds makes the seconds that go by all the more haunting. This means that society must take action in helping suicidal teens with their personal issues. If people recover when they are teenagers then the rate of suicidal adults will eventually go down until it diminishes completely. Though that may be the case, we as a society are far from that. Also, it is not guaranteed that a suicidal teen would even make it to adulthood which is yet another reason why action must be taken as soon as possible. Sometimes, the media spends too much time focusing on the superficial, insignificant issues, when they should be spending more time focusing on serious problems with severe consequences. Since the beginning of time, teens have been taking their own lives, and sadly the numbers will continue rise.

  3. 1 suicide every 40 seconds? 1439 suicides a day? More suicides occur than homicides a year? These numbers are shocking and way too high, close to 1500 suicides a day because a teenage feels the need to die because they do not belong in the world. Suicide could be 100% preventable if those individuals could have just someone to talk to. People need to take action and fix this problem because everyone deserves to live. If theses teenagers could feel loved or feel like they have somebody in their life to look towards to, then these numbers would decrease dramatically. That is not usually the case when it comes to suicide patients, they feel unwanted because people do not take the time to make them feel loved. This could change by just taking the time to say hi to the person. Or just acknowledging them, so they feel someone is noticing them or loving them.
